It all started with a dream.

As a child the Library was the safest place to be- full of dreams and adventures. But every so often the books would have to be purged for new titles & that was heart wrenching. The desire to save those books & find them new readers was born.

Finding the books was easy, finding the readers not so much.

So started the mail Order catalogs in 1995 and then, after a chance encounter with a Medieval History Group, shows, events, fairs, Festivals & conventions. The idea of a traveling bookstore was formed and the Booklady found a home. After a brief hiatus, UniqReads found homes on many book-sites, but life on the book circuit waned and a finally an online home, UniqReads.com, was found.
